Best time to visit for photografic safari is on dry season from mid August to the end of November. As everthing is around the water holes or River.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1 : Leaving Dar es Salaam for Selous Game Reserve
Leaving Dar es Salaam early in the morning and arrive at Selous Game Reserve late afternoon; lunch is provided along the way since it takes about 6- 8 hrs to Selous. After unpacking enjoy sundown from the lodge.
Dinner and overnight at Selous River Camp
Day 2 : Boat Safari on the Rufiji River
Breakfast and then embark on a boat safari (3 hours) in the mighty Rufiji River, which brings you close to hippopotamus and crocodiles, bird watching on the riverbank,and then drop off at one of the lake continue with game drive till sundown .
Dinner and overnight at Selous River Camp .
Day 3 &4: Game Drive
10 DAYS SELOUS MIKUMI-RUAHA. Early morning game drive afternoon break
Evening proceed with game drive until the sunset.

Day 5 : Selous – Mikumi
Breakfast, after drive to Mikumi National Park , is long drive to Mikumi via Morogoro town through the Uruguru mountain very beautifully scenarios with the combinations of people with it culture. Overnight at Camp Bastian.
Day 6:Mikumi-fullday game drive

Whilst on safari, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as large numbers of giraffe, buffalo and elephants. If you are lucky you may also be able to spot lions, leopards and African wild dogs. Likely to be seen animals include zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland and antelope. 10 DAYS SELOUS MIKUMI-RUAHA
Day 7: Mikumi – Ruaha
Breakfast, after drive to Ruaha National Park , game drive on arrival,overnight at Camp site at Ifuguru specal camping site.
Day 8 &9&10: Ruaha
Early morning game drive afternoon break and evening drive, overnight at campsite. 10 DAYS SELOUS MIKUMI-RUAHA
Ruaha National Park – This is one of the few Tanzania’s famous wilderness area where one can have a rare experience of game viewing spiced up by the fascinating landscape. The park is rich of plants and animals such as Greater Kudu (Tragelaphus strepsiceros) which can not be found in any other national park. The park boasts of her almost untouched and unexplored ecosystem, making visitors’ safari experience very unique.The Great Ruaha River as other rivers like Mwagusi, Jongomero and Mzombe save as the life line of the park. During dry season, these rivers become mostly the main source of water for wildlife. There are few natural springs saving the same purpose.In the pick of dry season, elephants obtain water from dry sand rivers using their front feet and trunks. The remaining water falls along the Great Ruaha River are also important habitat for hippopotamus, fish and crocodiles.
Day 11: Ruaha – home
Early morning game drive then breakfast, drive to airstrip for the flight to Dar , Mafia or Zanzibar.
